Enquire About Counselling

Every child deserves to feel heard

At Natural Life Therapies, we recognise that childhood can bring emotional challenges that are not always easy to understand or express.

Our school-based counselling service, delivered by Ailsa, a qualified Integrative Counsellor, provides a compassionate, confidential and supportive environment where children can explore their feelings, develop self-understanding and build emotional resilience.

Working alongside our Calm Minds Club, this service offers schools an additional opportunity to support the emotional wellbeing of their pupils.

How children's counselling can help

Children may benefit from additional emotional support for many different reasons.

  • Anxiety, worry and emotional overwhelm
  • Low self-esteem and confidence
  • Friendship and relationship difficulties
  • Bereavement, grief and loss
  • Family separation and life changes
  • Understanding and expressing emotions
  • School-related worries and transitions
  • Emotional challenges and neurodivergence

Counselling allows children to explore their experiences at their own pace, without judgement or pressure.

Every child is unique

No two children experience the world in exactly the same way.

Ailsa's integrative counselling approach recognises each child's individual needs, personality, experiences and preferred ways of communicating.

With experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, including autistic people and those with different communication needs, Ailsa understands the importance of patience, flexibility and creating a space where every child feels accepted and understood.

Sessions are tailored to the individual, respecting their emotional readiness, communication preferences and circumstances.
